Recently our company want to buy more desktop for new employee. I want to get an ips monitor but with led back light. I think these 2 is the best combination of monitor technology right now for high end nice monitor. Also, I want the monitor wide gamut.
After a deep research regarding those technology, I discover I make a big mistake which I can't find by only googling. If you want a wide gamut, you can't have ips panel with led back light. Those 3 combination actually can be together, however it will be very expensive solutions.
Right now, CCFL back light is a lot more cheaper solution for wide gamut. Led back light edge lit can not provide wide gamut. Only RGB led backlight can provide wide gamut. But RGB led backlight is too expensive for today technology. (1-2k solutions)
Therefore, if dell u2410 is RGB led backlight with wide gamut, I am pretty sure the price of the monitor will be around $2-3k.
