I  need to replace my hood due to some damage. I am considering buying a hood that is a different color from the car. Do you think that is tacky or can it look cool?

Honestly, I think that looks tacky. Unless you can find a way to really make it work, but I don't really see how you can. I've never seen any that looked good.

Frank, I have agree with Voiturer - maybe it is because I had a junkyard hood on my 1986 Honda Accord. I didn't have the choice at that time. However, if you are trendsetter maybe you could pull it off.

Thanks for reminding of that car. It was a fun car!

Hrm, well I was thinking that since I have a black car I could use a silver hood and trunk. If you guys do not think that would work, then what other ways could I make my car look unique but not tacky?
